Although you may think all pet food manufacturers have your
pet's best interests in mind, this is not always the case. Current pet
food regulations allow manufacturers to use ingredients that you
would never knowingly give to your pet. In fact, you may be
shocked to learn what some brands of pet food really contain.
Watch this short presentation before you commit to a brand of
food for your loving companion.
Do you really know what's in your pet's food?
All the reasons why we recommend Life's Abundance All-Natural dog food
to all of our dog training clients, and every other dog owner we know:
It is expertly formulated by veterinary professionals, and is made using
only fresh, human-quality ingredients including all-natural chicken, fruit,
vegetables, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. It contains no artificial
flavors, colors, sugars, or chemical preservatives.
Here are some of the experiences we've had, as professional dog trainers,
with Life's Abundance dog food, some things to keep in mind about it, and
why we think every dog should be fed this food...
From Professional dog trainers at Dog Training Unlimited:
Reasons we love Life's Abundance products...
- We tried this food at the recommendation of another dog trainer. She mentioned that she had
seen a difference in dog behavior on this food, since it has no corn, wheat, sugars, and other
common dog food ingredients that tend to make dogs more edgy and hyper. We have noticed
the same effect on dogs we've trained. To read an article she wrote about her experiences with
dog behavior and this food, click here.
- One of our own dogs developed an allergy to an ingredient in the previous food we used. It was
good timing to try new food. Within two weeks of being on the new food, his skin rashes and
hair loss disappeared, leaving him looking healthier than ever. All the dogs on this food end up
with a more beautiful and shiny coat, also.
- This food is not more expensive per day than just about every other dog food at the store. It is
very comparable. The reason is that you will feed your dog fewer cups per day, because of the
much higher quality ingredients. We fed one of our dogs 3.5 to 4 cups a day of a popular brand
of food from the pet store. We feed him 2 cups a day of Life's Abundance. Keep that in mind
when comparing cost per pound with your current dog food.
- Because of feeding fewer cups per day, and the food being such high quality (more food actually
being used by your dog's body), the dogs go to the bathroom a lot less often. That means that
puppies and dogs can be housebroken much easier, and makes living with dogs easier
overall!
- Since we started requiring that all dogs who visit us for training be fed this food during training,
we have not had one dog get diarrhea or an upset stomach. That is because this food is so easy
on dog's stomachs. So much so, that we can switch a dog right to it, without gradually weaning
off of the old food. Dogs often get stressed from the change of environment when they visit us
for training, plus the additional stress of learning so much, so previously we were constantly
cleaning up dog messes out of dogs' crates and trying to teach dogs that did not feel well. We do
not have those problems anymore!
- The food ingredients include probiotics, which many of our dog training clients would often buy
separately to mix into their dog's food. This helps with digestive health and has many other
nutritional benefits. It is very rare that a dog food already includes probiotics, without having
to add yogurt or an expensive powder additive to your dog's food.
- We have not had one dog, even really finicky dogs, dislike this food. They all love it and eat it
right away. That helps a lot with digestion, as well as with crate training and housebreaking,
because dogs are not as likely to graze. They eat it all at their mealtimes, which makes it easier
to schedule their potty breaks.
- Life's Abundance also makes cat food, as well as wet (canned) food for dogs and cats. They also
have treats and many other care products. We have been really impressed by every Life's
Abundance product we've tried.

There are things in your dog's food that you would never knowingly
give your dog!
Grains and cereals that are hard to digest and/or rejected from the human market. These are poor
quality, and mostly indigestible fillers. These are used to increase the protein percentage in the “Guaranteed
Analysis” on dog food labels. This places stress on your pet's kidneys.
Meat that has been rejected from the human market and rerouted into pet foods.
This meat is categorized into what is called the 5 D's... Dead, Diseased, Dying, Disabled, Drugged
This includes by-products like ground up bones, feathers, heads, duck bills, intestines, and fish heads as protein
sources. These don't even have to contain any meat! These are indigestible sources of protein and not fit for human
consumption.
“Meat and Bone Meal” can legally contain dead pets and animals from road kill or veterinary offices, including
euthanized pets that may have had any disease or medicinal treatment prior to dying.
Harsh preservatives to maintain a shelf life of up to two years.
These include known carcinogens that cause kidney and liver dysfunction. These foods will often sit in warehouses
or semi-trucks, without climate control, for a year or more, before they are purchased by a pet owner.
Sugars, corn syrup, “animal digest”, artificial colors and flavors.
**These ingredients cause a shorter life span for your pet, and a variety of nutritional related diseases.**
Things your dog food should never include:
Corn, Wheat, Soy, By-Products, 'Animal Digest', Unspecified Meat Meal and 'Bone Meal', Preservatives, Artificial
colors and flavors.
Things your dog food SHOULD include:
Human quality ingredients, not the cheapest available ingredients that have been rejected for people.
Made in small quantities for freshness, instead of mass produced and filled with preservatives. (Life's Abundance dog
food will be less than 6 weeks old when you receive it!)
Vegetables, Fruit, Vitamins, Minerals, and Probiotics (friendly bacteria that helps with digestion and sensitive
stomachs).
